This may not look like a lot of gunk but the smell this little chunk of gunk (and we are using nice words) can ruin your camper or camping experience. Black crap (not so nice words) can deposit against sensors and also clog your pipes. Routine cleanings can prevent this buildup and the ugly odors that come with it.
Bad odors coming from your RV? It could be your gray tank since there is no easy way to clean it like the black tanks. Food, soap, hair, skin, bacteria, and other stuff sinks to the bottom of the tanks and does not get washed away. This causes some really nasty odors that trouble many RVers. Get the tank cleaned before giving up on your RV..
Lets hope not but we can come hose you down if need be. You wouldn't give yourself a colonoscopy so don't clean the pipes of your RV unless you know what you are doing. See what we did there? A little RV Doctor humor. Let our "doctors" perform a gentle colonoscopy on your RV and get all of the crap cleaned out.
This is poop and toilet paper that accumulates into a pyramid shape right under your RV toilet line and has finally reached the top where it is now preventing anything from being added to the tank. A pyramid usually occurs when the black tank valve has been left open while on hook-ups. Liquids added to the tank immediately drain out of the open valve while leaving the solids behind.
A happy toilet is an unclogged toilet. Clogs can happen for several reasons including the poop pyramid, compacted holding tanks, a bad macerator pump, or a blocked toilet line. There are many home remedies out there but be careful on the one you choose. You could be setting yourself up for expensive repairs and an unhappy toilet.
Sensors typically misread because they are covered in human waste, toilet paper, grease, oils, kids toys, or other unmentionables. Get your tank cleaned before making the decision to replace or install tank sensors.
