Unlike most other RV inspectors, we have a certified Level II inspector who can pull samples on complex and expensive RV powertrain and generator components and send it to JG Lubricant Services for analysis. The NRVIA has determined that a significant number of RVs may have engine, automatic transmission, or generator issues which may render them in need of unseen repairs. Before you buy, or if you just want to know, include fluid analysis in your inspection or as a stand alone service. On a personal note, we pulled our coolant on our RV at only 12K miles and found a potential engine issue. Others have pulled analysis on their tow vehicles and prevented major issues before towing. The information is invaluable!
As part of your RV inspection, you can add fluid analysis to be performed on oils, coolants, and transmission fluids. You can expect to learn:
The fluid samples are sent to JB Lubricant Services for analysis. We generally get the reports within five business days. We provide you with a copy of the report as well as information on how to interpret the report.
Fluid analysis is an add-on to your inspection and highly recommended. We will explain the importance of fluid analysis which allows you to make an informed decision when purchasing or selling.
We do not repair any vehicles that we inspect or conduct fluid analysis within one year of the completion date of the inspection. All we want is for you to be informed with as much information as possible.
